Slack or Discord alerts for new Supabase signups

Updated

Short answer

To get notified about new signups without writing code, connect your Supabase project to Plash, create a “new rows in a table” alert on your users or profiles table, and add a Slack or Discord incoming webhook in Plash’s alert settings. Plash checks every 15 minutes and posts each batch of new rows with a short preview.

Steps

  • Connect Supabase with a personal access token and link the project to your app
  • Open Alerts › New alert, pick the Supabase source and “New rows in a table”
  • Choose the table, e.g. profiles or waitlist
  • In Settings › Alerts, paste a Slack or Discord incoming webhook URL (Slack and Discord alerts are part of Studio; email and phone alerts start on Indie)

The same works for MongoDB

Point the alert at a MongoDB collection instead; new documents are detected from their newest-first order.

Frequently asked questions

Does this need a database trigger or webhook?

No. Plash reads the table’s newest rows on each check; nothing is installed in your database.

How quickly will I hear about a signup?

Within about 15 minutes.
